We Apply the Art & Science of Writing Words to Inspire Your Customers to Take Action

Recently I was out doing some shopping on a beautiful warm and sunny day here in Dallas. I was at a new bustling shopping plaza that was filled with a variety of shops and restaurants. As I walked past a well-lit candy shop I stopped in my tracks. While all of the new stores had massive signs with endless information about their products, services, and upcoming sales in the window, this little candy shop had the audacity to have one small simple sign.

It read, "Candy Samples" with an arrow pointing towards the front door of the shop and underneath those words, it said "No Candy Samples" with an arrow pointing towards the curb.

This was a brilliant marketing message!

Consumers are being bombarded with an abundance of nonstop marketing noise and only the companies that find a way to quickly get to the point, win their business. The formula for great marketing messages is simple: In the shortest amount of time possible, you need to let your potential customers know that you are capable of solving their problem. That's it. This means you have a small opportunity to instill confidence, establish trust, and communicate your credibility.

The hard truth is that creating this kind of message is nearly impossible for most businesses because (brace yourself) you are simply too attached to your business to be objective (gasp!). At Simply Marketing Solutions we have a simple three-point process that allows us to take the burden off of you and get to the heart of your company's story.

We create messages where your customers are the star of the show and your business plays the best supporting role.

Our process is as easy as...

Our first step is to chat with the key stakeholders of your business to get a full understanding of your company goals, history, and outcomes you provide for your customers.

Next we conduct research by auditing your current marketing collateral, social media, competitors, and industry. We also interview your company's key stakeholders.

Finally, we analyze and organize all of the data and dwindle it down to a straightforward, yet compelling message designed to inspire your customers to take action.

"It is my absolute pleasure to recommend Summer Alexander as an expert marketing consultant.

I hired Summer to develop content for a center-wide rebranding project we were undertaking last year. Her knowledge of marketing strategy and communications was a huge advantage to our entire office. She put this skillset to work multiple times as she developed marketing communcation copy for multiple departments within our organization. This included our website, brochures, flyers, internal documents and a speech I shared for our 25th year anniversary celebration.

I confidently recommend Summer as an expert marketing consultant for any organization looking to market, rebrand and better communicate with its stakeholders. As a dedicated, knowledgeable and reliable consultant, I know that she will be a beneficial addition to your team." - Gail Fox Adams, PhD, Associate Director, University of Illinois Center for Literacy

Does Your Marketing Message Pass the Test?

10 Signs Your Marketing Message Needs a Makeover

1. You are not attracting enough customers. 2. You are attracting non-ideal customers. 3. Your message does not have a clear, specific call to action. 4. Prospects express interest in your offerings but rarely follow through. 5. You are launching a new initiative (website, product, service, book). 6. Your company is experiencing a major shift (new leadership, expansion). 7. Your current message does not reflect the company’s core values, beliefs, goals, and objectives. 8. Customers have a lot of questions about what your company does or the benefits of working with you. 9. The primary focus of your message is the company instead of the customer and how you solve their immediate need. 10. Your message is boring and sounds like every other company in your industry.
